The first annual G.L.O.S.S. Event took place on Monday, October 22nd, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Boutique Arnelle, Buzz Jeans and Kidlink stores as well as Patisserie de Nancy, all located in the popular and trendy Monkland Blvd., NDG, Quebec. The second Buzz Jeans store located in the Mile-End also took part in the G.L.O.S.S. Charity event.

The Kick-Off

We kicked off the event with a public street annoucement, right on Monkland Blvd! Truth be told it is not that busy at 9:00 a.m. on a Monday on Monkland, but we did it because we thought it would be fun. The 13 people on the street thought it was funny too!

By 10:00 a.m, customers started to walk in and we got busy! During the morning we provided croissants and coffee, croissants proivded by Loblaws and coffee provided by Boutique Arnelle!

For our afternoon customers, they were greeted with chocolates by Patisserie de Nancy.

Customer Greeting

Our customers who came to the main participating store, Boutique Arnelle were greeted with a thank you gift, which included one handcrafted soap from A Natural Perspective, T-shirt made by Pima cotton from Illumani designs, natural deodorant from Terra Naturals, organic candies from Boutique Arnelle and discounts for future purchases at all the other participating stores.

Each participating store gave their customers the G.L.O.S.S. event details to ensure that everyone customers and supporters didn't miss out on any of the fun.

Depending on time and location; each store had a different food and entertainment offering to compliment their customer base:

Coffee and Croissants (Boutique Arnelle & Kidlinks)
Music and soft drinks (Buzz Boutique)
Wine and Cheese (Boutique Arnelle and Buzz Boutique)
Chocolates (all 4 locations, including Patisserie du Nancy)

Customers enjoyed discounts with all their favourite designers and received more discounts for future purchases.

End Your Shopping Day

After their shopping day, our shoppers enjoyed a great, fresh coffee and patisserie at Patisserie du Nancy. And, they received a lovely chocolate gift to thank them for their generous support.

GIVING BACK

To particpate in this great event, our custmers were asked to donate a small fun of $20.00 to the Breast Cancer Foundation. Some of our customers were so happy with this community event, they donated more money to the charity.
